Dr. Vimala Sravanthi Vajjala
Meet Dr. Vimala Sravanthi Vajjala, a quadruple board-certified neurologist specializing in epilepsy, headaches, and facial pain. Dr. Vajjala, at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona, where she provides specialized care to those suffering from debilitating conditions such as epilepsy and headaches. With her expertise in clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy, and headache medicine, Dr. Vajjala has become a trusted resource for many patients seeking relief from their symptoms. She has a specialize interest in the application of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy in the setting of chronic headaches including migraine headaches as well as traumatic head and brain injury, post-stroke rehabilitation, and chronic neuropathic pain.
Dr. Vajjala is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with additional qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy, and is one of approximately 750 board-certified headache specialists in the United States. Dr. Vajjala is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, and American Headache Society. Her special interests are migraines and epilepsy in women, posttraumatic headaches, cluster headaches, and autoimmune epilepsy.
Dr. Vajjala has vast experience performing nerve block injections, botulinum toxin injections, and trigger point injections for the treatment of headaches, as well as botulinum toxin injections for other neurological indications such as cervical dystonia, blepharospasms, and spasticity.

Dr. Vajjala completed her residency in Neurology at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey, and her fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix. She also completed a fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
Dr. Vajjala is highly experienced in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders, including epileptic seizures and facial pain. Additionally, she runs a dedicated Botulinum Toxin Clinic for chronic migraine headaches and other FDA-approved indications. Injections such as Botox and Xeomin are offered at this clinic.
